Born in Massachusetts and raised in Michigan, Nolan has also lived in Texas and Ireland. A former teacher turned bicycle mechanic, he grew up in snow and nature and still loves it. From running marathons & ultramarathons to rebuilding bikes and playing guitar and drums, Nolan is drawn to anything that keeps him moving. He’s fascinated by learning and exploring new things, places and ideas. “I love biking and traveling because it can fit almost all of these things together in one.” Ask him about biking the word’s steepest street (Dunedin, New Zealand.)

Born and raised here in the Greater Seattle area, DJ found his love for life on two wheels. When he isn’t out on the trail, you will find him running customer service and support for The Adventure Hub, the collection of seven adventure tour companies (including Sacred Rides and Seattle Mountain Bike Tours). Chances are you have talked to him on the phone! DJ’s vibrant personality is a true asset to every trip he is on. In addition to mountain biking, DJ is also an avid skier and skis at least once a month (even in the summer!)

John is a lover of all things on 2 wheels. He started riding bikes at 4 and is still going strong after 50 years on this earth. He raced BMX as a kid, then had a brief, 15-year, stint road racing motorcycles, which eventually got him back to the self-propelled variety of bikes. Over the past 10 years, he’s enjoyed competing in road races, cyclocross, XC as well as gravity events in Enduro and DH. At this point in his life, he’s looking to give something back to the sport that has given him so much by sharing his passion and experience with riders of all ages and ability levels.

Erik is a sports car mechanic that specializes in Lotus. He guided for years in Moab before elastomer suspension was a thing of the past. Now, when he’s not out riding Erik indulges in the seedier elements of the Seattle live music scene.
Erik likes his beers dark and his bikes light. He’s very, very good in a go-cart…

Lori purchased her first mountain bike, a Specialized Rock Hopper, in 1990 and has been riding ever since. Living in Leavenworth, WA Lori and her family live, eat and breathe biking. Lori and her husband, Patrick both co-managed and coached Icicle Bicycle, their town’s middle and high school mountain bike team throughout their son, Tobin’s middle and high school tenure. Now racing at a World Cup level, her son’s racing takes her and her family to some pretty great trail systems and mountain bike parks with Lori acting as the team manager and her husband, Patrick as the team mechanic and shrink. Lori is the Marketing, Partnership and Sales Director for The Adventure Hub, the collection of seven adventure tour companies (including Sacred Rides and Seattle Mountain Bike Tours). Chances are you have talked to her on the phone. In addition to cycling and mountain biking, Lori enjoys hiking, backpacking, supping, backcountry skiing, gardening, family time, #vanlife and wildflowers.

Ken has been passionate about riding for over 30 years and loves all kinds of biking. When he left his desk job in the city, his bike commuter miles tallied over 100 thousand! He also has a great time on group roadie rides and has even been known to dabble in triathlon. Trail ultra marathons held a special place with him until an ankle injury put the brakes on that. He still loves shorter runs in the mountains and hiking. He’s very mechanically impassioned and is always looking for another bike to add to his expansive collection. His most recent favorite mode of travel has been gravel riding. Many of his local mountain bike trails can be accessed from his home with a moderate road ride. Also, he really enjoys the extra challenge a rigid drop bar bike can bring to the technical single track. Ken loves guiding and has a passion for sharing the beauty and awesome terrain we have in the Pacific Northwest. He’s an explorer at heart and takes great delight in scouting out new areas and sharing his adventures with others.
