Born in Massachusetts and raised in Michigan, Nolan has also lived in Texas and Ireland. A former teacher turned bicycle mechanic, he grew up in snow and nature and still loves it. From running marathons & ultramarathons to rebuilding bikes and playing guitar and drums, Nolan is drawn to anything that keeps him moving. He’s fascinated by learning and exploring new things, places and ideas. “I love biking and traveling because it can fit almost all of these things together in one.” Ask him about biking the word’s steepest street (Dunedin, New Zealand.)

Commuter turned endurance roadie turned cross-country MTBer turned Enduro racer, Shannon has fallen head over heels (figuratively and literally) with the huge variety of mountain biking to be found in the Pacific Northwest. Bike mechanic, bike fitter, and skills/mechanics instructor on her “on” days, and muddy mountain biker on her days off, she lives and breathes bikes.

John is a lover of all things on 2 wheels. He started riding bikes at 4 and is still going strong after 50 years on this earth. He raced BMX as a kid, then had a brief, 15-year, stint road racing motorcycles, which eventually got him back to the self-propelled variety of bikes. Over the past 10 years, he’s enjoyed competing in road races, cyclocross, XC as well as gravity events in Enduro and DH. At this point in his life, he’s looking to give something back to the sport that has given him so much by sharing his passion and experience with riders of all ages and ability levels.

Ben grew up in Denver and spent his early years riding, skiing, and hiking the Front Range. A few year hiatus in the Midwest resulted in significantly less mountain time, but his move to the Seattle area in 2010 allowed him to get back into the woods and onto the trails.A runner (both road and trail), a road cyclist, a gravel grinder, and an MTBer, Ben can’t think of a better place to be than exploring the singletrack of Washington. And it’s an absolute bonus when he can be out with new riders, helping them to find their groove and push their limits a bit!

Erik is a sports care mechanic that specializes in Lotus. He guided for years in Moab before elastomer suspension was a thing of the past. Now, when he’s not out riding Erik indulges in the seedier elements of the Seattle live music scene.
Erik likes his beers dark and his bikes light. He’s very, very good in a go-cart…

Reid lives up to the typical depiction of the Sagittarius – full gallop and ready for anything. He’s a Pacific Northwest local and lover of all things mountains: climbing, skiing, and riding. He is a true believer that it’s impossible to have a bad time while moving under your own power one pedal stroke at a time. Sharing his love for the outdoors with people is Reid’s favorite way to enjoy nature. There is nothing like seeing someone’s “ah ha!” moment riding a trail new to them or seeing a mountain range for the first time.
Exploring new roads and trails is Reid’s idea of a perfect vacation, from the slick rock of southern Utah to the dense forest around the Oregon volcanoes.
Favorite place to ride: Galbraith Mountain
Dream vacation: All of the National Parks with no cars on the road.
Favorite Movie: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
His personal motto: Go average, Go often!
